You're going home in a fucking ambulance

The Leytonstone Centre For Contemporary Art is currently showing work by a selection of artists from Manchester and London and thereby nurturing a sense of rivalry and having a dig at the north / south divide. The opening event featured a picnic and a tug-of-war between the two cities ( which the London artists won amidst some controversy and we did cheat a bit by having a non-artist on our team who just happened to resemble Geoff Capes).

The Ding Dong Twist Club submitted the van featured here and below to the exhibition .For a list of participants and more details click here

Later that evening in a battle- of-the bands The Ken Ardley Playboys, a curmudgeonly and erratic bunch at best, played a blistering set to a full house of bleary eyed aesthetes and passing Kosovan refugees at the Coach and Horses, Leyton. Die Kunst, representing the Mancky ones were equally good and won on points for there consistently good performances previously. Click here to see the Playboys in action

A good time was had by all.
